We’ve put together a new microsite for our Televault, based on a brochure explaining how Granada’s Quay Street studios worked back in the 1960s.

The brochure was designed to be easy to read for people with no idea of how television was made, and for children who wrote to Granada asking about jobs and programmes. Nevertheless, it’s still fascinating even if you have a little – or a lot – of knowledge of how TV worked back then.

The site is crammed with behind the scenes photography and presents a wonderful picture of life at Granada TV, Manchester 3, in 1966.
