The Scotsman – of all things – on the BBC Essex free radio celebration.

This is a busy year for broadcasting historians – the 40th anniversaries of Radio Caroline, Rediffusion London, BBC2, RTF2 and ahem Transdiffusion.

The first celebration is hosted by BBC Essex, getting Pete Brady, Roger ?Twiggy? Day, Paul Burnett, Mike Ahern, Ian Damon, Dave Cash, Tom Edwards and Keith Skues to present, from a ship, a week of ‘pirate’ programming on the local station’s MW frequencies and via BBCi.
