A very fascinating place. I visited there last August, and it was interesting to see so many media outlets, in particular the “new” Granadaland that serves as ITV’s Northern studios. Not far from the complex, there is a sculpture commissioned by ITV that seems to encapsulate the modern day ITV as it is – it seems to go all over the place, not even they know where it goes…
As some of the pictures will testify, the BBC dominates – and with good reason, it seems. They seem to take great pride in showing their Blue Peter credentials, as well as the sculpture and the John Noakes memorial plaque, there is also a display showing the different Blue Peter badges available. I’d dearly like to know which individual one signifies, and how it is possible to acquire one.
One more note during my visit – ducks. There were loads of them, and I thought they were highly amusing.
